Construction of our pool started Tuesday (June 7). The crew from Pool Perfections was on-time and it wasn’t long before the little Bobcat had removed what was once a nice-looking lawn.
Prior to this, John and the landscaping crew had removed pavers, furniture, a fountain, and most importantly a gas and water line. It took only 4-5 hours to move the pavers, but all felt the effects in the days that followed. Luckily our plumber wanted them, and they are forever gone.
It took three days to dig the hole. The depth of the pool will start a 3.6’ (110 cm) and will be 7’ (215 cm) at the deepest end. We’ll have a hot tub on the shallow end, and a platform for easy steps into the pool.
Work also started on the gas line from the main to where the equipment and all-in-all our grounds are beaten-up resembling nothing like it was just 10 days ago.
The builders didn’t strike oil or gold while excavating. Only a small waterline, an already-disconnected gas line, and the drain line for our downspouts set strangely far from the house.
