Proud dad!

We spent a part of Labor Day weekend in Yosemite. Parked at the Yosemite Lodge and hiked all the way to Glacier Point. Took the “Four mile” hike, which is really 5.5 miles (8.9 km) from the lodge. It’s a steep climb pretty much all the way, but it is worth it. It took us close to 3.5 hours with a lunch break somewhere in between. I was very proud of the girls. Isabella thought it was a bit too long, but she never made any such comments until we were at the top. The ice cream stand at the arrival was a very welcomed sight, and we sat in silence enjoying the best ice creams we’ve ever had 😉 It was a very beautiful hike and quite a distance to the valley, when we peeked down.

Ran into a single and what looked to be young black bear with light patches over its shoulders. He didn’t care about us and just continued doing his thing – whatever that was. His mother was luckily nowhere to be found.

We got back around midnight and jumped in the shower one by one by one. Hard to fall asleep afterwards but nothing a Seinfeld episode couldn’t fix.
