Christmas 2008 – snow’s all around

As some of you know we made it to Ottawa for Christmas. We arrived in minus 20 degrees and just walking from the baggage claim area to the car proofed a mental challenge 🙂 We woke up early the next morning and went tobogganing as soon as we could.

Headed to pick up a massive turkey afterwards. Anna and Isabella ended up being interviewed by the French TV station, and Isabella got a change to both translate and speak a bit of French. Pretty cool.

Kids did great on Christmas eve, and were lucky enough to get one present. Good entertainment all evening until they crashed in preparation for the morning. First sign of life at 4:00 AM and despite parents insisting on the four of them to go back to bed, no-one closed another eye until it was all over. Luckily Santa had been there and all had a great morning almost running out of steam before the last present was opened.

Isabella stayed behind when John flew back. She’s in Ottawa until January 4 to have fun with her cousins. First time that they’re spending that much time together, but all is well and John and Moses are missing her. John’s celebrating New Years in San Francisco while Moses is guarding the castle at home.

We wish you all a Happy New Year!
