Hot weekend pretty much all around here. Radio said they couldn’t find a place below 90 degrees (32 Celcius) on Saturday. Sunday was a little better – Monday outright cold… Isabella was smart enough to pack up Friday evening and run with Pia and the rest of the gang to Carmel and a cool pool, while John sat indoors finishing up a set of pictures. He jumped in the car once done and got to spend all of Sunday with ten kid, six adults and one hydrophobic dog. There are some images here.
We ran through a corn maze at the Organic Farm. Brought John had crystal clear memories and images of Jack Nicholson in The Shining. First horror movie he saw (not counting Hitchcook’s Spiral Staircase) – 29 years ago. Luckily we made it out in about two minutes…
Isabella had a full week at school. Lots of unused contact paper around here. So far the book collection is sparse. They’ve hit 37 pupils in 3rd grade in the classroom so it’s crammed and cozy. Isabella’s starting choir this week and we’re anxiously waiting to hear about the French class we signed her up for.
