It is on!

We’re ready for Christmas. Two days of schlepping boxes and finagling cords but the house and tree looks pretty much due to all the effort Olivia put into it. A bit of snow would make it perfect but it’s not in the forecast.

John saw a bit of snow last week but alas in Canada. The Parliament building was dressed in Christmas color and ornaments and looked fabulous. If in the mood one could enjoy the scene with a bit of Beavertails Pastry… The new job at Corel is working out great. Good colleagues and great products. The fiscal year ended at the end of November, so we started fresh last week.

John came back from Ottawa Friday afternoon and rushed to San Francisco with Isabella so she could make it to her final Lucia practice at St Mary’s Cathedral. All worked out perfect and as a bonus she went home for a sleepover with Victoria. Christmas came early: that’s been on her wish list since pretty much forever.

The rest of us packed up Saturday morning and went up to the city to see her perform. The SWEA fair pretty much took up all of the lower level, and it was a full house with everything Swedish. Largest group of singers so far – almost 90 kids on stage.

We had a great Thanksgiving celebrating with the rest of the Bellamy family both Thursday and Saturday. The Secret Santa notes got handed out and we’re all (secretly) on the run to secure one of the three wishes. Maybe we’re not that ready after all…
