Isabella, Pia and Bella all had their projects on display during the open house last weekend. Pia and Isabella had built models of two different California Missions, while Bella’s was more scientific. Good job all around! The girls got the quarterly grades and the three of them are doing great. As for Adriana: Well, she didn’t have a project and she’ didn’t get any grades. But she enjoyed being invited to stay for lunch at Montessori in Burlingame.
After a weekend in Carmel with Olivia, John spent last week in Ottawa and almost got stuck leaving. Eight hours at the airport before he managed to squeeze himself onto the last plane heading South. Touch down San Francisco 1:30 a.m. but it was good to be home and to be spoiled with a curbside pickup.
After a ten year break John started flying again last week. It’s amazing how things have changed. The Cessna 172SP is equipped with a glass cockpit – pretty much like what you would find in a small jet. Very, very cool – and much safer and fuel efficient. Getting trained on the new electronics will add at least five hours, but it’s all good and it is super to be an active pilot again.
We’re cutting it short as we’re heading back to the birthday planning. Isabella has joined forces with Sofia from her class and the two of them is inviting all of 4th grade to Laser Quest. We have had only two cancelations and so far it looks like there’ll be 35 screaming kids running around trying to nuke each other with laser “guns”.
