John has to fly to Hong Kong at the end of August for a couple of days. Beautiful weather and the 113th floor became quite a window to a concentrated and compact city. The traffic in the harbor is quite impressive – more so from above. John came home after a visit to the Akamai office, the tailor and the dim sum baskets… Still one of the top destinations where a weekend can easily be spent without a chance to be bored.
Last weekend Bella, Adriana and Isabella were part of the soccer opening day parade. Bella joined the other cheerleaders in performing while the two others walked by in possession. Adriana and Isabella both had games later that day – Isabella also played Sunday. Two games won – one lost. On Saturday Isabella managed to squeeze in a volleyball game that ended up being quite exciting. Three sets and a loss only because of the partial referee. That’s at least what everybody from Saint Catherine’s thought…
Pia remained on the bench throughout the weekend but her cast was actually removed Friday. Doctor said to relax for a couple of weeks. The plans of keeping the cast “forever” were scrapped once the odor of a locked up foot greeted Pia’s nose. Good thing we have pictures of it – it’ll suffice.
Sunday evening was spent BBQing with new and former neighbors – Kasey, Bill, Tina and Gallant and their four kids. Beautiful new home in Hillsborough with a big backyard including a tree house. Adriana helped Olivia make chocolate desert and snug away with the bowl and a spoon. Not all made it inside – some got stuck on the outside as the impromptu picture on the front page shows. Anyway, nice way to rewind after a busy weekend.
