Our three girls still at Saint Catherine’s got their report cards last week. This was followed up by a parents-teacher conference. All is well – they’re doing great and although sixth grade seems to be the toughest year so far both Pia and Isabella received certificates of honor. Certificates are obviously not handed out in Kindergarten since Adriana did not get one!
On October 21 Isabella, Pia and Adriana raised almost $150 for their school but partaking in this year’s Walkathon. They did great although they did not quite reach the goal they set out to reach. Too many distractions once the D.J. started the music.
John is also raising money although but settled on a caused the coincidently did not require much physical activity. In fact it requiring less. These days he is sporting a mustache. Akamai is part of Movember and almost 50 people within the company are trying to raise more than the $25,000 that was donated to cancer research in the two previous years. He continues to travel and went to New York just days before the wedding. All went well and a bumping into a makeshift Taylor Swift concert on Times Square jettisoned him into a celebrity status at home. He got back from Boston last night enjoying some of the Eastern Winter temperatures. A serious cold put the trip on hold for a week; which ironically brought a chance to visit All Spice with his new wife plus Penny and Adrian. One of the closest Michelin stars to home and highly recommended.
Bella is enjoying high school and her cheer activities. The past weekend saw the Little Big Game take place followed by the homecoming dance. She seems to have found a good bunch of friends. Most of them female… Olivia volunteered several times during the days with setup, coat check and clean up. Just like home…
Isabella finished her regular soccer season but had tried out for the winter season. Her team – The Gummy Monsters – did very well this time around and ended up sharing fourth place. Pia has started Hip-Hop again and Adriana obviously has signed up as well, so John’s office will soon turn into a practice room.
