We were supposed to write this from Wyoming, but Yellowstone got closed for the winter and we decided to postpone it until Memorial Day.
We’re enjoying the time off at home instead and are busy as ever. The garage door got installed Wednesday. The windows make such a difference. So far a great experience with the guys from Artistic Garage Doors. Unfortunately we lost three feet of storage space across the attic, so we had to fill up the wagon twice and managed to get a nail stuck in one of the tires in the process. Donated much of Isabella’s clothes to Goodwill, and the rocking chair we never seemed to be able to find a spot for is also gone.
The Christmas decorations also made it down from the loft, and Isabella and Lyne have put most of it up already. The New Zealand trip is in the way of Santa’s arrival this year, so we’ll start early and open presents on Dec. 16. The girls are off to pick up tree in Half Moon Bay. Saw a few people picking up trees yesterday, so we wont’ be the first.
Still need to plan much for the NZ trip and it’s one of the things that absolutely have to be finished this weekend. A very busy week is waiting, but at least it’s not all work. On Friday John is organizing a fund raiser at work for the San Francisco Food Bank. A whole day of shooting portraits in the photo studio at Adobe. Among the ones on the sign-up sheet are a pair of bulldogs and a group of 30 people. Adobe will match the amount raised, so hopefully we will be able to send a check of ~$1,000 to feed many of those less fortunate that us.
