Visit from Denmark

It’s Sunday. We said goodbye to Karsten early(!) this morning just before he took off for the airport and Copenhagen. It’s been great to have him around – excellent cooking, car service, and company. As you can see we ended up in the studio yesterday morning, and since the microphone was still there, Isabella thought she’s take another go at it. Funny pictures that clearly show all the work the two of them put into it. We got to see San Francisco Zoo in the afternoon, and enjoyed a picnic together with four of Isabella’s plush toys in Huddart Park in between.

The hammock and the garden furniture came back outside this weekend. Moses is already getting good use out of the shade beneath. It’s very warm today and absolutely beautiful. Earlier we went to see Camp Unique, to find out if Isabella would/could spend a couple of summer vacation weeks there. Luckily they offer horse riding so it took her approximately four seconds to make her decision.

Our christmas trip is finally all squared away. We’ll spend several days incl. Christmas evening and morning at Phinda Game Reserve. After that it’s off to Cape Town for a week. We can’t wait to go. Luckily there are several other trips in between now and then to make the time pass a little faster. It’ll be amazing.

Chicken on the BBQ. Veggies – yes, we do eat our veggies – are sizzling on the stove. But to compensate for the veggies we’re off to Powells as soon as we’re done for ice cream with Pia and her family. There’s no school tomorrow, so we’re kicking back and are pretending it’s Saturday. Sadly John will have to go to work in the morning…
