Hair cut weekend

Just finished eating Jamaican chicken straight from the BBQ. It’s probably only the spice that are from there. Maybe that’s even not the case. But for what it’s worth we tried imagining the palm trees while eating it. Irie, Irie…

Isabella’s rehearsing her May 18th recital in the background. We’re both looking forward to the violin concert. She earned her first ribbon yesterday after having practiced every day the entire month of April. Congrats on the achievement to her!

We all got a hair cut this weekend. Including Moses. He’s growing fur like there’s no tomorrow, so we have to take him for a trim once in a while. He’s enjoying his new spring look, but he’s easily too hot as the picture shows.

Isabella sang in the church at noon today. She was part of a small choir singing at the first communion (not hers…). It was easy to hear her voice. Maybe she’s enjoying that the microphone actually works as opposed to the one in the studio.

The week brought visits from two people we haven’t seen in a loooong time: First Todd and later Lisa. We had dinner with Todd in Palo Alto Thursday evening, and met with Lisa for late breakfast Saturday morning. Hard to listen to Todd’s snow covered mountain backdrop at home in Colorado, and Lisa’s enormous roof terrace in Milan, but a slow ride home along Crystal Springs Road always makes us appreciate how lucky we are to live here. Anyway, great catching up with both of them.

We’re off for a final bowling match on the Wii. As some of you will know, Isabella’s pretty hard to beat…
