Isabella started in Camp Unique Monday morning. Full days with 200 other kids from around the world. She hooked up with Kim from Lugarno in Switzerland, so Isabella got a head start practicing her French a little bit. She jumped on the possibility to sleep over Friday night, and went with the other kids to see the 4th of July fireworks in Foster City. Apparently they didn’t get back until midnight, so Mizz Izzy is sound asleep in the bedroom. Overall it’s been a lot of fun with archery, swimming, basketball, mountain bike riding, arts & craft, and more. She’s looking forward to go back Monday morning.
She went rollerblading this evening at Clifford School. Good first run this year and good exercise. Made it back around 7:00 for us to throw chicken and sausages on the grill while finishing up on today’s homework in Isabella’s Summer Activity book. She’s been such a trooper doing homework almost every day and she’s already more than halfway through the book. We got two math books, just in case we get bored 🙂
Moses joined the pickup ceremony of Isabella this morning and enjoyed a chance to run around on a soccer field. It was very warm today, and he sought shade as soon as he had a moment. He unfortunately cut one of his paws this evening and he’s also asleep trying to recuperate for more fun tomorrow. He still grows more fur than a lion, it’s quite inconvenient in this type of weather.
Not much have happened with the family room. The architect went on vacation, but we’re actually all waiting for the structural engineer to start drawing. He seems swamped so we might seek out other venues. We also started to look for contractors so that we can get some estimates/quotes. Please pass names on if you got them and if they did a decent job. We’re flying to Phoenix in two weeks to meet with Bodil at House of Copenhagen to get some ideas for the interior. Should only be 110 degrees down there…
