We came home from Carmel Valley last night after three incredible days at Casa Bellamia. There is no way to describe it other than a little slice of heaven. We had such a great time, that we didn’t want it to end, and it wasn’t easy to leave Sunday at dinner time. The house and its surroundings are absolutely wonderful. We were invited by Olivia and Gervee and their kids, and were joined by Mamie, Brideen, John, Jack, and David. Thirteen people in total and every piece of entertainment you could think off. Great company, great food, and a rare but great chance to talk about things outside school and home work.
The outdoor pool was perfect for testing the underwater housing from SPL and it worked beyond expectations. There were no sharks, but lots of kids and adults willing to pose underwater.
Hooked up with Geoff Ossias today. Came through the area on a 2x redeye from/to Washington D.C. Katie and Geoff were our neighbors at Bridgepointe in San Mateo. Shame we didn’t get to know them until just before the left, but we’ve kept in contact since then. Wonderful friends!
Isabella took the IOWA test at school this past week. We’ll get the results later. She is good at doing the piles of home work although it really is piles from time to time.
Speaking of piles: laundry pile is the size of the world-famous Sky Mountain in Denmark. If you know the actual size of that “mountain” you won’t pity us. Not a great place for downhill skiing. But little piles of laundry is still laundry.
