Sunday afternoon. Isabella’s in the middle of High School Musical and John needs a break from the many pictures captured this weekend.
Yesterday was busy as ever with violin, three sessions at the studio, one trip to Spring Down, plus all the usual weekend errands. We ended the day trying to find out if there really was a mouse in Isabella’s room, or if it was just the crackling shopping bag in the corner. We gave up and slept through the night like little babies. Mouse too if it was there.
Part of yesterday’s errands was to look for food coloring. Isabella was planning to serve fairy drinks (“Fairies Cookbook“), but we gave up after a few stores no longer had it on the shelves. The Internet came to our rescue. Something tells us that the drinks are best just looking at. Among the ingredients: Cornstarch, food coloring, whipped cream, rainbow sprinkles, colored mini-marshmallows. Every food pyramid’s nightmare and half if it probably illegal in California.
We ended up helping each other preparing Beef Stroganoff instead. Isabella cut onion, parsley and garlic and controlled the cooker. Not sure if it’s part of the pyramid either but hey, we had fish for lunch 😉
John’s ready for Tuesday’s surgery – tiny cyst in the left ring finger that’s managed to camp down right where it’s most annoying. Small operation that four(!) offices so far have made money off. Tests, x-rays, more tests, samples, and the scalpel hasn’t even come out yet. Anyway, it’ll be good to get it out.
