Preparing for the new horse

OK, misleading headlnie. There are quite a few of those in the news these days, so we thought we’d join the club 😉 Truth is that a new bed is on it’s way from Sweden. It’s manufactured by a company called Hästens, which loosely translates Horse’ (possessive). Anyway… good reason to paint the bedroom – that show started Friday evening with sealing all the little holes in the walls. There are four big patches of paint on one of the walls – we’re still trying to determine the winner. It all needs to be ready by next weekend. Doubt it will be – a busy week is looming.

Friday night and Saturday morning brought the first rain of the season, and it was very tempting to just sit outside and enjoy it. The riding lesson Saturday morning moved inside. We decided to run to the Fall Fair at Filoli anyway. We hardly saw rain again but there were traces of newly fallen rain everywhere. Isabella and Hailey had a blast running to the many stalls and activities. They made nice bird feeders (pine cone, peanut butter, bird seeds), that we will hang in the trees outside.

Isabella is working hard on her next report. She’s writing about Eustachio Montemurro. Not an easy dude to find info on, but we’re getting there with the help of dear friends, that once again come to our rescue. Wouldn’t know what to do without them.
