This past Sunday was spent cleaning Isabella’s room. Went through all her clothes and toys, and ended up with two pieces of furniture and 15 bags of stuff – most of which was donated or handed of to smaller sized children. Now remains the paint job, and John’s not quite there yet mentally. Small room, but painting is painting and the tape alone… Anyway, it’ll be a nice birthday present and Isabella is already enjoying the extra space for her American Girl collection. They all got to stay.
Yesterday the second graders competed against in the third graders – math test. The second graders incl. Isabella lost and got “rewarded” with double homework. We’ll see if that’s an incentive to do better next time. Isabella’s off to her weekly art class today, so she has her Wednesday all booked. While we’re on activities: We moved Isabella’s violin around a bit and scaled the practice down trying to give her more time for home work and play during the week. She switched teachers at the same time and will play with Carol both Friday and Saturday. She’s pretty excited so it’s all good. She was back on the horse this past Saturday after almost four weeks of absence.
Celebrated Moses’ (the dog…) birthday January 9. He’s refusing to leave the puppy stage. He’s going in for another puppy cut on January 21. The temperature’s been around 75 degrees (24C) this week, so he might even enjoy it this time 🙂
Leaving you with the picture that went out with this year’s New Years card. Enjoy 😉
