Well, not really… Moses had another puppy cut and this time even the tail didn’t escape the scissors. All but the very end got shaved down to the bare minimum, but for some obscure reason they left the very tip of the tail untouched. As a result part of him now resembles something straight out of the Serengeti. Good for keeping pesky Tsetse flies at bay š
Tomorrow John’s off to photograph the elephant seals at AĆĀ±o Nuevo state beach. Weather should be gorgeous. The population is apparently close to 5,000 seals right now. There’s a new lens on the camera. It was ordered more than a year ago, and was originally meant for the Africa trip in december. It’s good to have it here for when we go in June. Just got confirmation that the tickets are ready. Flying down there using miles – total cost was $208. Coach to South Africa – only way to go š At that price we should be able to schedule a couple of massages to forget.
We also locked down the Spring Break trip, but as that’s a surprise for Isabella we’ll keep it quiet a little while longer. Her birthday is coming up and we have 10 little girls confirmed climbing rocks at Planet Granite next Saturday.
Today we had shutters installed and it’s like having new rooms. Isabella’s room in particular looks so much nicer. We still can’t agree on the colors for her walls, but we’re getting closer. Lots going on at school this week with field trips, free dress day, and various collections and donations. She’s at Art right now making funny little clay things. Isabella got her report card on Friday and is doing really good!
John’s getting ready for an interview Friday. It’s one of those marathon sessions, where you hardly remember your own name when it’s over. Rusty interview skills, so if for nothing else this should be a good exercise. But it’s an great company, interesting products, and a very challenging job so it would be fun to land.
