It rained yesterday. First in a long time. In fact it’s been so long that it felt really good and it was tempting to just run around outside. The gutters were unfortunately filled with needles from the pine trees – new project added to the to-do list.

Isabella went to “Kids, Horses and Healing” on Saturday. A program put together by San Mateo County and hosted by NCEFT – National Center for Equine Facilitated Therapy. Very nice stables and Isabella was there for almost five hours. The kids groomed horses and donkeys and made art using horse shoes but also spent some circle time talking about the reason they were there. Below is a picture of Cody – one more four-legged for Isabella’s Hall of Fame.

We had Pia over Saturday and spent the afternoon at Great America. Once inside the park we all jumped on the Celebration Swings only to get stuck in the air while someone apparently had had enough and opened the seatbelt. After a few minutes of dangling back and forth we were lowered to the ground. Tried pretty much everything before the park closed at eight o’clock. They were both very good sports but some of the crazier rides were met with a bit of hesitation. Good fun!

John had more interviews but it looks like that’s the end of it for this time. More when he hears back from the three remaining companies. One looks promising but they are at least one month away from hiring. Oh well, more time to clean those gutters.
Chocolate covered strawberries are still one of Isabella’s favorite deserts. Gotta love the California grown kind – almost too big.
