Friday May 13 brought a very nice first visit at John Bentley‘s in Redwood City. Highly recommended! Isabella and Pia spent much of Saturday practicing their hiphop moves for Sunday’s performance. They snug out to Libby’s indoor pool party just before they ran out of steam.
John, Olivia and Isabella met Carol and Rob at Crepevine Sunday morning before the concert, and Carol couldn’t resist joining us at Crocker High School to see the girls dance. We captured the event on video and we’re proud to share it with you. Bella had the last track meet of the season in the afternoon so all the girls jumped in the car and raced to the East Bay to see her compete in three different disciplines. John sipped tea with Penny in preparation for an upcoming event. More on that later.
Pia held her birthday party on May 20 at the Hillsdale Mall. Clues were given all the teams and for two hours they raced around the mall trying to win the competition. All finished around the same time and ate yummy cake at the town hall. But not until they’d all sung Happy Birthday so loud that every shopper was aware of the event.
John and Isabella took off for Carmel and the Ferrari 2011 Challenge afterwards and left the rest of the girls to enjoy a weekend on their own and get spoiled.
Sunday evening brought a way overdue get-together with some of John’s former Adobe colleagues. Olivia, Isabella, Pia and Adriana came along and had fun throwing the frisbees on the roof. John has a beautiful black nail as some kind of proof of just how many times the frisbee ended up there. Note to self: remove finger when you close the ladder.
Our family of six spent Monday evening with Penny at Kincaids celebrating Pia’s 10th birthday – it was one day before the actual day, but the calendar made it impossible for everyone to celebrate Tuesday evening. Instead a few of us ran off to Half Moon Bay – not quite summer yet…
