On Sunday May 8 the family was lucky to be invited to a private hike at the Blair Ranch Preserve in the south bay. John drive up from Carmel and met David, Jillie, Penny and the five girls from home plus the two rangers from the Peninsula Open Space Trust a.k.a. POST.
Good hike on a Sunday morning. Lots of sun and clear view all around. The area was donated to the trust and is currently closed to the public but the plan is to open the area in 2013 and it will make a nice getaway for people in the area.
The cows we had been promised to see seemed to have wandered off to greener pastures. Maybe they got scared by the worm snake only Bella spotted.
