Isabella has long been a gymnastics addict and her and Pia has taken weekly classes together for a while. Practicing at home resulted in damage to her arm. Nothing was broken but ligaments were torn and she was in a fair amount of pain for days after the incident.
Following X-rays and MRI scans the specialists determined that a combination of ice and rest was the best cure but also prescribed physical therapy. Isabella has been once and will have another consultation before she’s back in shape.
The damage to her arm means no Volleyball tryouts but given her track record last year we are almost certain she’ll make one of the two teams.
Adriana continues her quest to get a black belt. Her tryout for a yellow belt was successful and she was awarded for her efforts last week. She’s quite into it and John may have to eat her words and buy her a trampoline soon (black belt = trampoline)
Bella also has a sports agenda since we last wrote. She’s still seeing a physical therapist for her ankle but it’s getting better. She had Cheerleading tryouts at Burlingame High School and put lots of effort into make the team. At least as much as her foot would allow her. Many more applicants than spots available, but at the end of the week Bella got the call she had hoped and was told she made it into the team together with her friend Lauren. Well done!
