Started early on a planned trip to the rice fields around Jatiluwih. As usual our driver had many good ideas of things we had not planned for, so we got to see Balinese dance and a butterfly park on top of everything else on our list.
Isabella is not shy when is comes to animals and at one point she had four enormous and very beautiful butterflies on her (see picture). She had enough by the time they keepers brought ten inch long walking sticks for her to hold. I don’t blame her althogh they apparently are vegetarians.
We (finally) left for the things we wanted to see, and enjoyed the rice fields in all their beauty. From there to the Botanical Garden (you can skip this that if you’re heading that way), and the water falls at Git Git. Very beautiful and because we had had the extra activities earlier in the day we arrived just as everybody was leaving. We had the falls all to ourselves and got great shots (and great bug bites) of the impressive fall.
