Rain drops are falling on my head

Got a good night of sleep and left fairly early ’cause we just couldn’t wait to get soaked 😉 It rained the entire day apart from a few breaks but luckily the typhoon seemed to have lost its pace.

We (therefore) knew there was no chance to see anything from Victoria Peak, but we decided to head up anyway. Steep train ride and nothing but low hanging clouds to welcome us. We went back down almost immediately, walked through the Hong Kong Park and its aviary, and ended up at Pacific Place. Dried up while doing some window shopping and gained our core temperature at Starbucks.

Walked some more in the rain, stocked up on Chinese clothing at Shanghai Tang but we ended up back at the hotel fairly early and watched Oliver Twist while waiting for our 7:00 reservation at Nobu – Japanese restaurant at the hotel. Had the tasting menu which was “a little bit of this and a little bit of that”. Turned out that if you have enough “little bits”, you become quite full, and we had to cave in the middle of the sushi. Luckily Isabella could help us finish the deserts that followed. Really good food but insanely expensive. Maybe the fireworks outside the windows were included 😉
