Hawaii bound

Isabella started Hip-Hop at Dance Arts Center in San Carlos a couple of weeks ago. She’s having a blast and is excited about the performance they’ll give at the end of the month. New words came with it, and she can show you “the coffee grinder” if you’re interested 🙂 She continues her French lessons and are enjoying them more and more.

John and Isabella had booth duty at the Fall Fair at Isabella’s school. We teamed up to help the sub six-year olds win prizes. Good fun and many lucky winners. Olivia and John went to a San Francisco wedding the evening before after Rhett & Karin had tied the knot. The band had been put together by picking single musicians of Craig’s List. It was a hit and the three musicians looked like they enjoyed jamming for the crowd. Lovely evening with and no fog, great company and wonderful views.

We left the wedding a little early because of a new assignment that had come up with one of John’s interviews. Dolby wanted a presentation of the bluetooth headset market, and with only 48 hours notice every minute counted. The presentation was delivered Monday morning. We still don’t know if all the work paid off, but if for nothing else it was good to get pushed a bit and to see what could be put together in such short time. Like with all the other jobs he’s interviewing for there are several candidates and all very good candidates. No doubt it’s more fun to be on the other side of the table.

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Carol & Rob’s Sunday evening. Among the guest was a girl Isabella’s age – Yasmina. The two got along great and dove right into dinner and Sundaes. Got sent home with leftovers and munched on all things delicious almost the entire week.

Moses was due for a puppy cut and got shaven so short that he almost looks like a tall dachshund. He seems to enjoy it now that it’s been a few days, but he definitely felt naked when we picked him up.

This past weekend was pretty quiet. We hiked Coyote Hills (East Bay). There are a few pictures here. Seems the Bay is more ready for water than ever – we could have name this photo “Death Valley” and no-one would have questioned it. Sadly it’s right here, and the wetlands are pretty dry.

Leaving you with a little video of Pia and Isabella’s trip to Great America. The footage can be seen here.

Earplugs recommended.
